Deviation table and curve are issued and endorsed by qualified Compass adjustor.
DanNautic offers onboard Magnetic Compass adjustment service throughout the Danish waters.
Under the rules of the Safety Of Life At Seas (SOLAS) code, various flagstates and different company’s the on board magnetic compasses must be correctly adjusted to a small deviation. And a new Deviation table and/or curve must be issued.
The Magnetic Compass
A number of magnets are placed inside the compass binnacle and on either side are placed some magnetic soft ion. Together they are used for adjusting the compass heading to compensate for the magnetic effect of the on board steel
